Someone asked how long the process might take…

At a minimum I'd say an hour is fair -- 5 minutes energy reboot ;-), 10 minutes ideate, 15 minutes develop, 15 minutes edit, 15 minutes assemble & approve.

Of course, you can spend as long as you want in any stage… but beware of perfectionism. Better to work lightly, publish lightly, get feedback from other humans, then create again.

Helpful as always, I appreciate you sharing your thoughts on this. Previously, I have used Chat GPT for editing my very-far along, almost there first drafts. I often felt that the edits were too heavy-handed, so this led to even more time editing and refining for me, as I had to go back and decide which of the edits to keep, which to throw out, and which to blend with my own original thoughts. Just recently, I've started a new approach, which is to work with Chat GPT as a writing coach mostly, only soliciting feedback for the first several stages and doing my own edits and re-writes along the way, until the very end, when I request a final edit. (But by that point, the piece is already near perfect in terms of what I want it to be.) This new process also takes a while, but I am becoming a much better writer along the way, and faster too.
