OK, I'll start with you. This one genuinely caught my attention. The reframing, George... it landed with resonance. Netcaring. As I read your exploration, I was reminded of the difference between process and outcome goals in sports. (My daughter is a competitive rock climber, and we talk about this nuance all the time.) Leaning in to something by connecting to your intentions, your authentic motivations (e.g. setting goals that connect you to the love of a sport) rather than having outcome goals (achieving specific metrics) paradoxically supports success (though only if genuine. You can't game this one out.) Similarly, I find resonance in what you're suggesting here. Genuine reaching out with no expectations about outcomes other than to genuinely connect in some small way? Only positives come out of it, even if they are only because we've already met our own human needs in some way through the small action. So, nothing needed in response here. This is a virtual high five of resonance.

Such a beautiful and profound comment! I totally love the process/outcome goal framing too. It’s been foundational to my personal/professional growth ever since I read a book about mental toughness by Jason Selk.
