OMG - yes! Perhaps this is what I have been missing. Often I have not much to say, because there is something bigger that's worthier -- I wrote a memoir on my own loss and healing, and that's what inspires my work as a healer and professional coach. Thank you. I'm more positive about mining my life stories _/\_.

Very good, George, and such a confirmation for me. My whole motivation for being on Substack right now has been to share life stories, and even today before this video of yours came, I have been writing about one of them. You are so attuned, my dear friend and mentor!

This is giving me some things to think about. It is interesting and pretty insane how quickly things are shifting and changing. I find it gets me overwhelmed at times, and as much as it is helpful to notice and be aware of the trends, what I find more important is to stay true to oneself regardless. Thanks for your analysis George. I would not have the patience nor the skills to do such a good job as you.

Yes! As a writer, I couldn't agree more. As a therapist, well. There are so many ethical restrictions around sharing one's personal experiences! And yet there's also the concept of "the person of the therapist," which asserts that therapists and clients thrive when they bring to their work *all* of who they are, personally and professionally.

Thank you for this post, George. I feel like a door just got busted wide open.
