This really resonates – especially not waiting for flow to show up. I really like your energy reboots – they’re similar to the energy resets I teach. What I’ve found is it works best for me when I train my state before resistance shows up – otherwise, I end up letting resistance lead. And when that happens, I often reinforce the very patterns I’m trying to change.

Like when I sit down to write while feeling scattered or anxious – if I wait until I’m already in that state to shift, I’m subtly teaching myself that resistance comes first. Over time, that wires in “feel off first, then try to recover,” instead of “train clarity first, then create from there.” And the more I notice that pattern as it’s happening, the more clearly I see why training before resistance is what actually rewires it.

Your messages always have a way of finding me when I need them, George. Thank for your this very inspiring post. I love the reframe of resistance and showing up and practicing creating your flow instead of waiting for it to strike!

George, you struggle with consistency because it bores you. When you are first learning something, it keeps your attention because it's new and you're interested. After you master it, or even just become proficient, it starts boring you because it is now routine. Then comes the struggle to stay focused on it. This is not a deficiency. This is part of your soul sense order. Instead, look for something that is less likely to become routine. You would excel at some kind of crisis management because it's never routine and each situation presents a new challenge to solve. Your strength is your ability to pivot in a dime, and that is what a crisis demands.

I have a massive project due on October 17th and way behind. I see I need a schedule, but every time I set one, I dont follow it. Inner resistance is high. Time passing creates more overwhelm. Help.

Also try this: go to Fiverr and search accountability coach. Find someone with good ratings. Reach out and ask if you can hire them for an hour to babysit you as you do your project. I've done this and it really works to get going!

perhaps writing down smaller, even tiny, next steps for the project? then only scheduling 15 minutes? it doesn't seem like a lot but could help you get going. also, get some human accountability, preferably several times a week, from a peer who is also seeking accountability for a big project...

Thanks, good ideas! I was also reminded of something about myself tonight...the clarity that comes from writing everything down. I was emailing my VA who is doing the backend of the summit production and I was rewriting some of the landing page copy and for the vip options to make it clearer, and I suddenly got way more clear on what my welcome video should have said to introduce the options. Writing really helps me. It gets things out of my swirling brain. I also love your reminder that we dont have to do it all alone!

I have a ‘power hour’ in the morning for my writing. That hour is non negotiable unless I am on vacation. My brain just accepts that it’s what we do. 💕
